Xbox Says Something Went Wrong

By | May 21, 2022

Xbox one X says “Something went wrong” and on the bottom it says system error: E200 etc… I’ve already tried turning it off and on, factory reset but it keeps coming back to this screen. Any ideas what I can do?

Did you go to that URL? Did you search for that error code?

level 2

Yeah it says restart your Xbox, do a hard reset (I can’t because it literally cancels it) and something with a computer which I don’t really understand

Hold your xbox button on the xbox for 10+ sec

I theorize that this issue is purposefully manufactured with the intention of us buying a new product. It keeps happening to my console as well. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was happening to a great number of people’s systems.

My xbox never had issues before but some months after the new xbox came out, my one s got this problem that it starts ventilating like an airplane at games such as… fallout 3, new vegas and 4(once).

Haha maybe, but I doubt it. This was a third hand Xbox, I got it from my dad so my little brother can play on my Xbox one S. It was already making odd sounds so I already though that it wasn’t gonna last a year but it literally stopped working after a month… Last time I used it it was doing fine, no problems with it, I just turned it off and today I tried to turn it on and now it’s just not usable, can’t even do a factory reset… Guess I’ll buy a series X or maybe even a PS because I haven’t ever owned a PS and I wanna play Ghost of Sushima

Check out info on xbox one, internal data cable that connects the hdd to the motherboard as these go bad and give these errors and similar symptoms to a failing drive. I removed my drive and scanned with my PC and reformatted. Nothing wrong with my hdd but these replacement connectors are impossible to find

That error code can mean that the console was updating and lost power and possibly corrupted the windows file

I got this last week too. 🥲

level 2

And taking into account the emote I’m assuming is still bricked. Is it?

level 1

Clean the motherboard? I say this because my system keeps doing this as well and the only thing I haven’t yet tried is to take it apart and clean the dust and whatnot out.

level 2

Maybe but I’m really clumsy so I’m afraid Im gonna drop a glass of water on my xbox’s hardware or something, or do some other dumb thing

I believe you need to hold sync button + eject button and then hold the power button till you hear two beeps or see the factory reset screen..

Tota bitch to do and get right on an og xbox one, don’t know how much of a bitch it is on an xbox one x 🤔

Offline update usually helps. Worked with mine.

level 2

How did you offline update yours?

level 1

Do an factory reset and keep games and apps it will fix it

level 2

Thing is, I can’t factory reset. It stops at 10% and returns to the debug screen..
