Domain_10 App Crashing Android 2021

By | May 22, 2022

“My Google app keeps crashing on my Android phone” is the complaint that has been rife on the internet for the last couple of months. Many don’t even understand why this is happening or what to do about it. It has been predominantly among Android phone users whose phone functionalities are tied to the Google account and Google app, from the Google Assistant, Google Search, Google Lens and even Google Maps.

Why does the Google app keep crashing?

Several reasons have been put forward. Some say it has to do with the Android System WebView and that it has been resolved for Android versions less than Android 12 beta version. The issue of Google keeps crashing could also be a bug that came with the recent updates on the app, and if it is, Google will possibly fix it in another update. If you have not updated your Google app recently, you should probably hold off till this issue is totally fixed, and also disable auto-updates for the Google app from the Google Play Store.

The one way you can know if you are affected is that you will keep seeing repeated notifications that the Google app has stopped working. It is not restricted to any particular brand of Android device. There are some fixes you can try out to keep your phone going even if your Google app keeps crashing.

on the side of your phone until you see the power options.

Use the desktop interface

If after trying out all of the steps above, your Google app keeps crashing, then you should use the desktop interface until issues are resolved.

Since the bug does not allow you to use the Google apps as usual, Google recommends that you can use the desktop Gmail Web interface instead of the Gmail Android app.

Install the latest beta version of the Google App

Other suggestions include installing the latest beta version of the app,

  • Launch the
    Playstore> Search for
    Google > Click on the
    Google app to see details.
  • Navigate downwards to where you see
JOIN THE BETA, and click on
Join. The system will prompt you that Beta version gives you updates to try out before they are officially released.
Accept itand follow the prompts till you complete it.
  • Restartthe device.

One or more of the above solutions will sure fix the issue for you. Just ensure to be on the lookout and know when a permanent fix has been released.
